Kuna Yala and Two Pasty White Canadians

When my parents arrived we were shocked. Such pasty white Canadians! My Dad is very pale skinned like me but my Mom who tans very well must have been whiter than I've ever seen her, nearly glow in the dark white!

Inverter, chargers - what you should know

In some cases boaters like to have these systems separated as two individual items however think twice if you are operating a generator aboard. With a generator you will get continuous power to your 110 or 220 Volt outlets regardless of the generator running or not; as this is done via the auto switching which is part of these units.

Portobelo to Kuna Yala

After René spent hours on the phone in Portobello trying to confirm my parent’s flight from Panama City to the airstrip on the island of Corazon de Jesus in Kuna Yala we had to leave in order to make it there in time to pick them up.

Portobelo, Panama, and the History of Riches

Portobelo is a small quiet town that could be referred to as sleepy, which is a little unexpected when considering the importance of the bay as a major port for sending gold and silver from Central and South America to Spain between 1574 and 1702. I read somewhere that up to 1/3 of the world’s riches were transported through this port.
